Board and Committees

Jonathan Davies, former Managing Partner of Memery Crystal Solicitors, was elected Chairman of IDS in September 2008. He took over from Bernie Myers, who still remains as a Board member.

Jonathan Davies has served on the IDS board and various Board committees since 2004.

He is also involved in other charitable activities and his roles includes serving as a trustee of several charitable trusts and acting as a  Business Mentor for the Princes Trust.

A number of committees monitor work in particular specialist areas:

The Housing Committee deals with housing management issues such as allocations, lettings, rent setting, arrears control and estate services.

The Technical Services Committee now oversees day-to-day repairs, major repairs and improvement projects.

The Finance & Development Committee monitors spending and considers financial and technical aspects of new housing projects.

The Remuneration Committee decides on salaries and terms and conditions of employment for staff.

The Risk Management Committee receives reports from the other committees and reviews the potential risks facing IDS and the measures put in place to limit the effects of adverse changes.
