Redecoration of external and internal common parts

We aim to redecorate all the common parts of the following properties during 2010 – 2011:

Victoria Grove

Where possible we try to consult with tenants regarding colour choices.

Current Projects

Projects across the Estates

 

During the year we aim to undertake the following works across our estates and sheltered schemes.

 

Ajex House

 

Kitchen replacements

As part of a rolling programme of works we will be replacing seven kitchens at this sheltered housing scheme.  The kitchens selected for this first round of works will be based on age and condition.  The replacements will be undertaken by members of our in-house trade team.  If you live at Ajex House and are concerned about your kitchen or would just like to know more, contact your Scheme Manager.

 

Evelyn Court

 

Roofing Works

The second of three phases of roofing repairs will commence during March 2010.  Our partnership contractor ‘Lakehouse Contracts’ will be undertaking these works.  The work of stripping the existing roof covering is very noisy which we apologise for in advance.  We will be taking the opportunity to upgrade the insulation to the roofs as part of this project which should provide some energy savings for the top floor flats.

 

Kitchen and bathroom replacements

Lakehouse Contracts will be returning shortly to the estate to commence the rolling programme of kitchen and bathroom replacements.  We aim to replace these to a further 15 properties during the year.  If your kitchen is older than 20 years and you would like to be put on the waiting list for these works please contact Sean Kelly at the head office.  The timing of the replacements is based on age and condition.

 

Rewiring

We aim to rewire a further fifteen flats at Evelyn Court this year.  It is proposed that these works will be undertaken by our in-house team.  Properties included will be based on age and condition of the current wiring and we will be writing to tenants of the selected properties over the next few months.  If you have any concerns about the condition of the wiring within your property please speak to your Estate Manager.

 

Stepney Green Court

 

Window concrete cill repairs

As part of the scheduled decoration of this estate we aim to overhaul all the sash window and to fit draught stripping prior to redecoration.  We also aim to undertake repairs to the concrete windowsills and where funding allows reinstate the cast iron windowsill rails.  Stepney Green Court is in a conservation area and we are trying to improve the character of the historic estate as a focal point of Stepney Green.
