The IDS Board has fifteen voluntary members, many of whom are senior and respected figures in their fields.
They are selected to bring sound management and practical expertise to the organisation.

Twelve members are elected and three are tenants, selected each year by the Tenants’ Forum. The Board is chaired by Bernie Myers (pictured above), former Managing Director of Rothschild Bank.

A number of committees monitor work in particular specialist areas:

The Housing Committee deals with housing management issues such as allocations, lettings, rent setting, arrears control and estate services.

The Technical Services Committee now oversees day-to-day repairs, major repairs and improvement projects.

The Finance & Development Committee monitors spending and considers financial and technical aspects of new housing projects.

The Remuneration Committee decides on salaries and terms and conditions of employment for staff.

The Risk Management Committee receives reports from the other committees and reviews the potential risks facing IDS and the measures put in place to limit the effects of adverse changes.
