Pest control
We are committed to keeping your home and our communal areas pest-free. We know that pests can affect your health and well-being, so we take pest control seriously and will act promptly when needed.
What is a pest?
Common pests include ants, rats, mice, cockroaches, bed bugs, daddy long legs and silverfish. We may consider the treatment of other species of pest where they present a serious risk of harm to you or your home.

Our responsibilities
We will investigate reports of pests promptly. If we determine that the infestation is serious (affecting multiple homes or communal areas), we will take responsibility for getting rid of it.
We use professional, qualified pest control contractors to treat infestations. We will keep you informed of the actions we’re taking. After treatment, we will follow up to ensure the pests are gone and the infestation is under control.
If you’re a vulnerable resident, we will provide extra support and ensure your pest problem is dealt with quickly.
If pest control is needed in communal areas, we may include the cost in your service charges. However, we will always notify you in advance.
Your responsibilities
Keep your home clean, free of food waste, and dispose of rubbish properly in designated bins.
If you have a garden, regular maintenance is required to prevent pest issues.
For small infestations (like a few ants or silverfish), you are expected to treat them yourself. You can buy pest control products from supermarkets or hire a pest control service privately.
If you notice any pests in your home or communal areas, report them to us immediately. You must also allow us access to your home for inspections and treatments.
How we prevent & treat pests
We inspect communal areas regularly to spot potential pest problems early. We will seal gaps and entry points in communal areas and your home to stop pests from getting in. We provide tips and advice to help you prevent pests from entering your home. This includes advice on keeping your home clean and managing waste.
What to do if you have pests
- Identify the pest: Is it something you can deal with yourself? If it’s a small infestation (like a few ants), you should treat it yourself first.
- Contact us: If the problem is serious or you’ve tried to handle it but it’s spreading, let us know immediately.
